EVO 052
BUILD TIME FOR EVO IS 3 WEEKS

The Evolution 052 is the lightest and most innovative helmet in use today by pilots around the world. The EVO 052 is a single lenses helmet with the lense stored internally for scratch free storage.

The EVO 052 comes with your choice of Lenses Color, helmet color and a host of options standard that other companies charge for and best of all, it is made in America.

Each EVO helmet is custom built to order, instead of modified to fit like other companies. When you order a helmet you have the option of selecting the color you want, the chin strap, mic and communication and you also have a choice of liners. Forget the French and buy American.

I purchased the EVO-052 and couldn't be happier with it. If Gentex and Gellet had a prodigy child it'd be the EVO, its a relatively new product but the EVO will soon be running the house. Its got a thoughtful design and great customer service. The helmet is like putting on a glove and the profile for VR work can't be beat. Ive also found that the quick disconnect cable on the back of the helmet is very handy at the end of the day, just unplug the helmet and leave the cable set up the way you like it and plug back in when your ready to go fly again. The visor on the helmet (inner-visor) is great because it acts like a close fitting pair of sunglasses which is very nice if your doing any burning operations where smoke and pollen could be in the air and thus eventually in your eyes with doors off. The upgraded mic boom which is just a hybrid set up (rail/flex) is a great decision. The standard rail set up is fine but I've used both and personally find the rail/flex upgrade well worth it. The chin strap I have is the "pull the dot" set up and its really the only way to go. Same with the coiled cord, again really nice to be able to unplug the helmet and leave the cord set up how you want. The standard hearing set up isn't bad but I do recommend purchasing some sort of additional hearing protection even if its the basic CEP/CME interface only option. The BlueLink set up works good for long trips but make sure you get a straight cord design and cut down on the amount of connectors needed so that your radios are still clear. Overall the EVO-052 is a great light weight low profile and very versatile helmet for VR and field work thats also made in America. The more I wear it the less likely I'm ever going back to a dual visor set up and if I ever get back into NVG work id be interested in seeing how well the NVG set up works for this helmet. Hope this helps you pull the trigger, you won't be disappointed and with Helicopter Helmet you'll be in good hands.

This is my first helmet, but have worn other helmets including a Gallet and I have to say, this is the lightest helmet I have ever worn and very quite. I fly a small helicopter, but I tried it in a Bell 206 with more noise and it was very comfortable to wear. Nice Helmet and Very happy with the Customer support at Helicopterhelmet.com
